Mojima Etokudo, Mission Update

Greetings to you and yours in Christ from your brothers and sisters in Nigeria. I am excited to hear from you on the successful meeting with Minister Jordyn Graves who will soon become the Shackle Island Church of Christ Preacher. Thank you so much for your prayers and kind thoughts. It’s our continue Prayers for God to grant you more of His Grace in Christ Jesus name.

Our worship yesterday December 5, 2021 at church of Christ, Ikot Odiong was great as we begin a month of effective Discipleship Making Series inviting our prospects to attend our service. We welcome four (4) visitors and I preached the sermon from Ephesians 3:20-21 on the topic “God is Able” one of our prospects and visitor “Nseobong Elijah” obeyed the Gospel and baptized into Christ. A Bible and Hymnal was given to her. She was of the Penticostal denomination and she was glad to be welcome into the fold.

Also, our Ukanafun WBS Evangelism Team will be having her 15th Anniversary Fellowship/ Indoor Bible Lectures on the topic “EFFECTIVE DISCIPLESHIP” on Sunday December 12, 2021 at Church of Christ meeting Hall, Ikot Odiong at noon. The fellowship meeting will feature: Evaluation of of our efforts for Christ in the past years, Strategy meeting, Prayers and Songs of Thanksgiving to God for using us as vessels and plans to further the Gospel etc.

AT THE NEGATIVE BUT GOD WAS GLORIFIED:

Thunder strike our church building at Ikot Odiong last week and destroyed our water borehole electrical system and burnt part of our roofing sheets through the electric wire. We praise God no one was hurt.

We lost one of our leading brother Ibanga at Ikot Odiong church, he was very active in our Evangelism Team and served as a Preacher in one of our newly planted church at Obon Odor village. He will be buried on December 17, 2021 after a funeral service by Church of Christ, Ikot Odiong at his residence.

We also meet in preparation of our 2022 Bible Seminars Lord willing, planning on the way forward.

We need your prayers as you do always and know that we mention you in our prayers always.

In Christian Love and Service,

Mojima Etokudo
