Greetings to you and all my brothers and sisters at the Shackle Island Church of Christ, trust this report finds you well.
August 2025 was challenging, hectic and fruitful in our service for Christ and His church. Thank you so much for your prayers and support that helps our accomplishments for Christ kingdom. God bless you and yours for being a great part in our work for Christ.
August 3, A new church was planted at Nkeidm village during their first worship, I donated Communion wine for a start, this is a community our evangelism team went on door to door evangelism last July 30 as reported.
August 7, Our Ukanafun WBS Evangelism team meet and evaluate our evangelism activities in the quarter, planned more strategy and follow up and 2026; Bible Seminars/Evangelism in some of our new churches areas., We sang songs for God’s grace on us as labourers in His kingdom, and prayers to God for you and yours for your generosity and for being a great part of our work for Christ.
August 10, I preached the sermon during Sunday worship at Church of Christ, Ikot Odiong from Acts 17:30 on Repentance. Two earring brethren were restored to God from their waywardness.
August 12, Our evangelism Van take our brethren at Church of Christ, Ikot Odiong and at Church of Christ, Ikot Akpa Idem villages to the Nigeria Christian Bible College (NCBC) the vehicle take about 60 brethren on 3 trips to and from the Annual Bible Lectureship of NCBC.
Between August 12 – 15, The 71st Annual Bible Lectureship of the Nigeria Christian Bible College NCBC was impactful as over 7,000 participated across Nigeria and brethren from the USA led by Chad Wagner.
EFFECT : A total of 129 Souls obeyed the Gospel and baptized into Christ during the four days Gospel event while the saints were edified.
It was great to work with Chad Wagner and his wife Rena, Archer Honea, Mike and Rita Cochrane. Rita Cochrane told me his father Willie Keto was a preacher at Shackle Island Church and they took a photo with me and of me.
Willie Keto library at NCBC build in honor of Rita Cochrane father was inaugurated. See my photos with Rita and her husband Mike Cochrane and others. I, my wife “Ekaette” and daughter “Emem” and son “Ekemini” was invited for a lunch with Chad Wagner and his team at NCBC, it was a great fellowship.
August 16, I led the preachers forum were church leadership and evangelism was top of our meeting.
August 17, I preached the sermon at Church of Christ, Ikot Odiong on Self Examination from 2 Corinthians 13:5, after worship, we had fellowship with brethren were we brought Cucumbers from our farm with groundnuts and everyone in attendance share in the fellowship strengthening the saints in love and fellowship.
August 21, Our Ukanafun WBS Evangelism team embark on door to door evangelism at Ikot Odiong and it’s neighboring villages, many of those we preached the Gospel to promised to visit our place of worship.
August 24, I preached the sermon from John 14:6, one of the visitors (Victor Evanson) a leading Choir member of the denominational church who responded to our evangelism invitation obeyed the Gospel and baptized into Christ, a copy of Bible from our stock was given to him while an earring sister who stayed away from fellowship for years was restored.
On this day after worship, the planning committees for our planned 2026 Bible seminars and Evangelism at Ikot Odiong and it’s neighborhood meet. Ideas, progress, challenges, prospects drawn from our previous years event was discussed and more new strategy planned to win more souls for Christ through our Bible Seminars/evangelism.
August 31, After worship , we visit the newly baptized in their homes, visit the sick and some who are not frequent in worship, we prayed to God on their behalf, sang hymn and encourage them . It was a hectic day as I and my wife and children returned home in the evening hours, praying for our efforts to payoff for Christ.
