Greetings to you and all my brothers and sisters at the Shackle Island Church of Christ, I trust this mid February 2026 mission report finds you well.
This report covers February 1 – 15 though very hectic days but was fruitful and rewarding in Christ kingdom.
February 1, on this first Sunday of the month, I worship and preach in two different congregations namely: Church of Christ Obon Odor village and Church of Christ Ikot Akpa Idem were we had Bible Seminar/ Evangelism in January.
EFFECT: A Soul obeyed the Gospel and baptized into Christ at Ikot Akpa Idem village.
February 5 – 7, we had a Three day Bible Seminar/ Evangelism at Church of Christ Ikot Ant on the theme * UNDERSTANDING TIME AND SEASON “which features:
* Open Air preaching at Market square
* Door to door Evangelism
* Indoor Bible lecture
* Free Medical service (Eye Test/ Glasses, BP check, and Malaria medication)
* Free 3 square meal daily for 3 days etc.
EFFECT:
* Two Souls obeyed the Gospel and baptized into Christ.
* 3 Erring Brethren was restored back to the faith.
* 86 people received Free Eye Test/ Glasses.
* 103 get Malaria drugs, Arthritis and Blood Pleasure check.
CHALLENGE:
One of the participants fell sick (Sister Unwana Friday) when the medical assistant administered drug it didn’t work at about 11.00pm she was talking to the General Hospital Ukanafun and was admitted, she was diagnosed of Ulcer, she spent 3 days in the hospital and I paid the hospital bill and provided transportation for her to get home.
February 8, I worship at Church of Christ, Obon Odor village in following up with Obon Odor Mission which is the result of our Bible Seminar / Evangelism at Church of Christ, Ikot Odiong.
EFFECT:
* One Baptism at Obon Odor village.
* Three Baptism was reported at the following church areas:
– Church of Christ, Ikot Odiong
– Church of Christ, Ikot Ant
– Church of Christ Ikot Itor.
The seed of the Gospel sown at the just concluded Bible Seminar/ Evangelism and Free Eye Test/Glasses in those areas are yielding fruits, we pray for more.
February 12, I preached the funeral sermon of young man (Engr Udi Ibe) of 49 whom I baptized into Christ in March 2022 during our door to door Evangelism. My sermon was drawn from James 4:13-15 on the theme ” THE UNCERTAINTY OF LIFE”, many community and denominational church leaders were in attendance.
February 13 – 14, Our two days Bible Seminar/ Evangelism at Church of Christ, Ikot Ibritam in Oruk Anam local area on the theme ‘ UNITY IN PURPOSE ” features:
* Open Air preaching at Market place
* Door to door Evangelism
* Indoor Bible lecture
* Free Feeding and fellowship.
On same February 14, I and my wife left the Ukanafun WBS Evangelism Team and other brethren at Ikot Ibritam to the 72nd founders Day of the Nigeria Christian Bible College (NCBC) Abak. The founders Day features Matriculation of students into the college for Bible training which one of the families that was baptized into Christ during our Bible Seminar/ Evangelism at Church of Christ Ikot Edah in 2024, his son was one of the matriculating students, I am excited, more Preachers are raised through our ministries.
February 15. This was a very busy Sunday for me as my wife Ekaette and son Ekemini joined me for a worship and follow-up at the following churches area.
* Church of Christ, Obon Odor
* Church of Christ, Ikot Odiong
* Church of Christ, Ikot Akpan Afaha
* Church of Christ, Ikot Udo Mbang
* Church of Christ, Ikot Akpa Idem
EFFECT:
* One soul (Uyo Peter) baptized into Christ at Ikot Udo Mbang village.
* Follow-up at Ikot Akpa Idem.
* Visit of newly baptized at Ikot Odiong.
CHURCH BUILDER AWARD.
A Church Builder Award was presented to me by Church of Christ, Ikot Akpan Afaha with a letter of appreciation for always supporting their Bible Seminar/Evangelism with our Evangelism fund. The Church builders award is as a result of being a part of the Church planting, Land purchase for the church building, and supporting their Church building etc. Thank you so much for being a great part in all of what we achieve for Christ and His Church in Nigeria and Africa. * Bibles to the newly baptized and the saved who have the need from our Bible stock
