<\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"As a part of the Christian Leadership Platform, I join other brethren on\nfive (5) days missionary trips to Ukpe and Ukagada villages in Ogoja, also to\nObudu local government all in Northern Cross River State and finally to Gboko\ntown of Benue State, Northern Nigeria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
AT CHURCH OF CHRIST, UKPE VILLAGE:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On Thursday and Sunday June 13 and 16, 2019, I preached the sermon on Sunday\nand teach the Bible class during their mid-week Bible study at Church of\nChrist, Ukpe, I also embark on door to door Evangelism were we preached to a\nvillage chief.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
God blessed our efforts with a Village Chief of Mbagidi who is also the Head\nof Ukpe District Customary Court (Chief Joseph Mgbosho) who obeyed the Gospel\nand baptized into Christ. I am optimistic that his decision to obey the Gospel\nwill lead many in his community to Christ. Mike Udam, Friday Obong, Cyprine\nNjinkeng and others witness the chief baptism. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The newly baptized chief invited us to his house and show hospitality by\nproviding soft drinks to us, we render songs of praises and prayed in his\nhouse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He requested for a Big Letters Bible since he has sight problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The six months old congregation at Ukpe needs your prayers as they\nstrife to build a meeting place, they need Communion Tray and cups.\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It will be recalled that the church at Ukpe was planted November 2018 during\nan evangelism outreach of Church of Christ Ukpagada Annual Bible Lectureship\nwhich I was part of it and a total of 16 souls have been baptized into Christ. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I appreciate Mike Udam the Preacher with the Church of Christ,\nUkpagada who invited me to be part of this work for Christ. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
On Saturday June 15, we traveled to Gboko in Benue State for a Christian\nLeadership Seminar organize by the Christian Leadership Platform in partnership\nwith Church of Christ, Gboko for Churches in Benue State and neighboring states\nin the northern part of Nigeria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Seventeen (17) local congregations participated with thirteen (13)\nfrom Benue State and four (4) from Taraba State, Rivers State, Akwa Ibom State\nand Cross River State. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The effect of this leadership seminar for the church was seen from questions\nby the participants , participation of many local congregations and the\nenthusiastic mode of participants was tremendous. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
A meeting with WBS follow up preachers was presided by Mike Udam and we all\nshare our thought on rural evangelism strategies using WBS as a medium and\nother methods was rewarding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It will be good to organize another leadership seminar in other part\nof Benue State to further strengthen the churches in the area in the future. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
