<\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The third edition Christian Couples \/Singles Retreat\nwhich holds at Church of Christ, Ikot Akpa Nkuk in Ukanafun yesterday Saturday\nJanuary 11, 2020 was great as 47 Couples and 37 Singles young men and women\ndrawn from 34 local congregations of the Lord’s church participate at the\nRetreat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Couples Retreat session with the theme “GOD AND\nFAMILY” feature an evangelist Bassey Esang of the University of Uyo\nCommunity church of Christ as our guest speaker while the single session on the\ntheme “HOW TO CLICK RIGHT” feature a Missionary to Sierra Leon Editi\nObot as our guest speaker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The vision behind the Couples \/Singles Retreat is\nnumerous experience with our rural evangelism which we discovered that many\nchurches are not strong and organized because of the family and that if we\nsensitize the younger ones (SINGLE Men and women) before they get into\nmarriage, it help them to be conscious of their decision in marriage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was also discovered by researchers that weak marriages\nare reasons why many congregations in our rural areas could not have elders of\nthe Church in about 98 % of the total local congregations of the Lord’s church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But the positive effects of the Couples Retreat since\ninception in 2018 signals a brighter future for the Lord’s church based on ATTENDANCE\n, TESTIMONIES , QUESTIONS ASK DURING THE RETREAT AND INTERACTIVE SESSION during\nthe retreat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The retreat features : Keynote presentation,\nInteractive session, Questions and Answer session, Meal fellowship etc. Some\nrequest for the retreat to be organize in their local church as distance\nprevent some from coming to benefit from the family building sermon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Thank you for supporting this church building tool,\nI am optimistic that with the gathering of Christian Couples \/Singles for a\nRetreat, our Evangelistic efforts and the building up of the Body of Christ\nefforts will see the light of the day.
