Greetings to you and all my brothers and sisters at the Shackle Island Church of Christ, trust this report finds you well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our 8th edition of Christian Couples Retreat at Township Church of Christ, Ukanafun Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria ended in praise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The retreat on the theme ” CHRISTIANS AND CONFLICT IN MARRIAGE” with keynotes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Who are the causes of Conflict in Marriage and <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. How to Manage Conflict in Marriage, has 87 couples drawn from 26 local congregations of the Lord’s Church in Akwa Ibom State and Rivers State as participants on Saturday January 4, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The resource person at the retreat Mr Victor Robert, Mr Idorenyin Akpanobong, Mr Mojima Etokudo and Dr Mike Udam who sent a goodwill message all do justice to their assigned topics. God Bless our resource persons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The retreat features interactive session, Q & A segment, meal Fellowship etc. Testimonies from past participants is amazing and we are encourage to do more. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

EFFECT: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

* Since the leadership of the Lord’s Church depends on the family of individual Christian, many couples testify of the Lord’s Church growth due to their participation in the Couples Retreat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

* It create bonding with the couples<\/p>\n\n\n\n

* Also, many have learned the art of conflict management as a panacea for building a strong relationship in marriage which is an integral part of the Church growth mechanism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

* Many have replicated the couples retreat in their own areas to further church growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

* Some who attended the retreat in the past years testify of the positive impact in their families and the church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pray for resources to do more as this channel is building up the church in our rural areas of Nigeria and Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
