Greetings to my brothers and sisters at the Shackle Island church of Christ, hope this mail meet you well.<\/p>\n

The church of Christ in Ikot Osute planted last year December 10, 2017 during our Ukanafun WBS Evangelism Team campaigns in the area hold her one year anniversary with Evangelism campaigns on Saturday 8 December, 2018 and Thanksgiving service on Sunday 9 December, 2018.
\nThe highlights of the event include:<\/p>\n

* Door to door Evangelism between 10:00 am to 4:00pm were One Soul Obeyed the Gospel and was baptized into Christ. She was an elder of the Methodist church denomination (Mrs Nse Gibson) who is also the wife of the late village chief of Ikot Osute.<\/p>\n

*Open Air preaching at village square between 7:00pm to 10:00pm were three (3) Souls obeyed the Gospel and baptized into Christ the same night at the river. One of the baptized was a deacon of Christ Faith Fellowship church denomination (Mr Various Ibanga Akpan) and others. See attached photos. Both of them worshipped on Sunday 10 December, 2018 at Ikot Osute and I preached the sermon and presented a Bible to them each and a Baptismal Certificate to help them with their new found faith. Though the Two (2) Baptized denominational church leaders had a Bible, they marked things which promotes their denominationalism, so there was need to replace the old Bible with the new one.<\/p>\n

*Our Ukanafun WBS Evangelism Team, NCCE students and brethren at Ikot Osute leads the Evangelism campaigns.<\/p>\n

A total of four (4) souls obeyed the Gospel and baptized into Christ at Ikot Osute on Saturday. The fund raising on Sunday after worship to help the new church have her permanent place of worship was also encouraging as brethren contributes both funds and materials.<\/p>\n

The church at Ikot Osute at one year has a total of 56 baptized and about 30 little children. Pray for this newly planted and fast growing church to continue in her growth speed, pray for God’s blessing upon them to have a permanent place of worship and pray for our labourers to be strengthen to do more for Christ and His church.<\/p>\n
